Quality Control Engineer (Inspection)
Minimum qualification and experience requirements for Quality Control
Engineer/Inspection shall be as follows:
1. Engineering/B.Sc. in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Chemical, Production, Civil,
Fabrication or equivalent with relevant refinery experience.
2. 5 years of work experience in a large refinery/petrochemical/fertilizer industry out
of which minimum 4 years should be in in-service inspection.
3. Quality Control Engineer/Inspection shall be capable to handle basic functions
including, but not limited to the following: -
• Inspects fired/unfired pressure equipment in Refinery, including steam
rising plant, oil heaters, columns, vessels, heat exchangers, piping systems
and storage tanks.
• Calculates permissible working pressure of equipment and reports findings.
• Prepares inspection worklists for plant turnarounds and coordinates these
functions with Engineering Maintenance, Operations and Consultant's
representatives.
• Inspects critical equipment at suppliers' works as directed.
• Conversant with nondestructive testing methods.
• Conversant with latest API, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, TEMA, NACE codes /
standards.
• Experience in RBI methodology is preferred.
4. Quality Control Engineer (Inspection) having applicable experience more than 9
years out of which minimum 7 years in refinery may be considered as Quality
Control Engineer A (Inspection) based on performance.
5. Quality Control Engineer/Inspection having applicable experience more than 7
years out of which minimum 5 years in refinery may be considered as Quality
Control Engineer B (Inspection) based on performance.
6. Quality Control Engineer/Inspection having applicable experience more than 05
years shall be considered as Quality Control Engineer C (Inspection).
