Quality Control Engineer (Corrosion)
1. Minimum qualification and experience requirements for Quality Control
Engineer/Corrosion shall be as follows:
2. Engineering/B.Sc. in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Chemical, Production, Civil, Fabrication or
equivalent with relevant refinery experience preferably with post-graduation or
industrial training in Metallurgy.
3. 5 years of work experience in a large refinery/petrochemical/ fertilizer industry out of
which minimum 4 years should be in in-service inspection
4. Quality Control Engineer/Corrosion shall be capable to handle basic functions including,
but not limited to the following:-
• Studies, monitors, and reports on environmental conditions in the Refinery that cause
the deterioration of metal by corrosion or a combination of corrosion and other adverse
factor and recommends solutions.
• Coordinates corrosion control activities with Operations, Maintenance /Engineering and
Consultants representatives.
• Shall be conversant with latest API, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, TEMA, NACE codes / standards.
• Experience in RBI methodology is preferred.
5. Quality Control Engineer/Corrosion having applicable experience more than 9 years out of
which minimum 7 years in refinery may be considered as Quality Control Engineer A
(Corrosion) based on performance.
6. Quality Control Engineer/Corrosion having applicable experience more than 7 years out of
which minimum 5 years in refinery may be considered as Quality Control Engineer B
(Corrosion) based on performance.
7. Quality Control Engineer/Corrosion having applicable experience more than 05 years shall
be considered as Quality Control Engineer C (Corrosion).
